Author
I write about love, death, and healing through creative nonfiction, narrative journalism, literary fiction, and fantasy. My work includes stories, novels, poems, plays, and teaching.
Although writing is my main creative outlet, I run a religious organization, The Church of Meditative Massage, to promote Meditative Massage – a new form of bodywork based on meditative stillness and spirituality. Its focus is relaxing the body to a place of calm that allows one to be at peace no matter what the circumstances. I also dye and sell clothes at markets and festivals, and I have had my short films appear at festivals.
My parents were writers, editors, and reporters for various newspapers. My father also published two novels and two poetry chapbooks in his lifetime.
My journalistic work is literary in nature, bringing deeper narratives to a more fact-based field. I am currently writing on the conflict in the Middle East and hope to have a book of those stories published in 2026.
